How to Make Honey Chili Potatoes | Honey Chili Potatoes Recipe

This Honey Chili potatoes is a delicious starter to serve for family/friends get together or parties. It is a mix of sweet and spice making it perfect for kids as well as adults to relish it. Honey Chili Potatoes is a well known Chinese snack that has a huge fan following in India. It is crispy, savory and delicious. It is a favorite among kids and adults as well. It goes well with drinks or any beverage and often served as a starter. Pair it with spring rolls and serve as an appetizer and it will be a hit.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 Potatoes Cut Into Fingers Soaked In Water
  • Red Chili Flakes 1 Teaspoon
  • Red Chili Paste 2 Teaspoon
  • Red Chili Sauce 2 Teaspoon
  • Corn flour/ Corn Starch 5 Tablespoons
  • Salt To Taste
  • Oil 1 Tablespoon
  • Garlic Chopped 5-6 Cloves
  • Vinegar 2 Teaspoons
  • Honey 2 Tablespoons
  • Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves Chopped 1 Tablespoon
  • Spring Onion Greens Chopped 2 Stalks

Method:

  1. Wash the potatoes and peel them clean. Cut into small fingers.
  2. In a bowl, mix together garlic, red chilies, salt, corn flour and mix well. Keep aside for 3 to 5 minutes. Now add the potatoes and toss well so that the mixture completely coats them.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a frying pan over high flame and deep fry potatoes till crisp and golden. Drain excess oil and place them on an absorbent paper.
  4. Now heat teaspoon oil in another pan & add garlic and ginger. Saute for a minute then add sesame seeds, vinegar and tomato sauce, cook for a minute and turn off the heat. Add honey, seasonings and spring onion bulbs and saute till translucent.
  5. Add red chili sauce, vinegar, red chili flakes, sugar and honey..Mix well and cook for half minute. Add salt and mix well. Lower the heat and add fried potato wedges.
  6. Mix well, add spring onion greens and mix again.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
